RESTORATION PROJECT
|
|
The '54 BICKLE SEAGRAVE is a
period piece for the Society. Calgary had many of these, mostly with an
enclosed cab. The chances of the Society ever getting a Bickle from this Department
border on 'NIL'. This Pumper comes to us from Long Sault Ontario, in part,
because it was running and had little rust, but also, it was a close twin to
the Bickle Seagrave Aerial already in our care. Firefighter Mark Soehner is
the Committee member in charge of the '54s restoration. He will keep us
posted as to its progress. |

Sometimes it can be fun to
bring your work home with you. |
The '54 Seagrave needs some
finishing touches but the chrome and new paint are dazzling. |

Stay tuned for updates to the
restoration of the 1929 Gotfredson Pumper. Photos of its dilapidated
condition have not been located but it is back from the body shop and ready
to be outfitted. The Gotfredson will be used as a public relations vehicle
for transporting everything from dignitaries to children.
